There are tremendous job opportunities available in this Career field. Want to know if it is a good fit for you?
Students interested in learning more about the program in connection with NCC and Interstates should let Mrs. O know. There is an open house on Thursday afternoon, April 11 and we will be taking students over to learn more about it.

Submissions should be turned in or shared through Google Drive to Mrs. Bahrke along with a submission form. Submissions are due by April 17th.

The Middle School is sponsoring two foreign students, Marvin and Belinda, by selling Yuda Bands in order to send them to school through high school. Even though they are both 18, they have not been able to afford to complete their education. They would love to finish school so they can have opportunities to find stable employment and support their families.
In order to send these students to school, we need to sell 600 bands!
The Middle School Warrior Group Planning Team will be selling bands BEFORE SCHOOL on the following dates next week:
Tuesday, April 9
Friday, April 12
***New bands have been delivered! Come check out the new selection!
The bands are $7. Please consider buying a band to join our efforts to support these students, to support education around the world, and to be a part of ending the cycle of poverty!

Color Run! Help raise money to fight cancer, money will go to the Sioux Center Hospital and the Howell family. Run is 1.5 miles starting and ending at the school. Date is Saturday, May 11 at 8:00AM. Form are available in the MS Office, due back April 15.

A Gaga Ball Tournament will be held on Saturday, May 4 as a part of an 8th Grade Genius Time project. Signup sheets are available in the MS office. Forms are due back by March 18.

Dance/Cheer practice for Thursday morning will be cancelled. There will be a practice tomorrow morning (Wednesday) in the HS commons at the usual time of 6:30am and 7:00am.

The After Prom party registration forms that were mailed to all juniors and seniors are due in the office on Thursday.

The process:
1. Read a Historical Fiction OR Adventure Fiction book
2. Pass the AR quiz at 80% or higher
3. Fill out an entry form in the Learning Center

The process:

Even though they are both 18, they have not been able to afford to complete their education. They would love to finish school so they can have opportunities to find stable employment and support their families.

The After Prom Party registration forms that were mailed to all juniors and seniors are due in the office TODAY. Remember you need to turn in $20.00 for yourself and your date along with the permission slip.

There will be a session on how to use your calculator for the ACT in Mrs. Heemstra?s room during Warrior Time on Friday.

Volleyball girls- Please turn in your summer forms to Coach O by Friday.

Juniors- remember the ACT is this Saturday, April 13. You must be there by 7:45 AM with a calculator, pencils, and a photo ID. If you do NOT have a photo ID, please contact Mrs. O by Thursday. You will not be able to test without making photo ID arrangements.

Come with your family to experience the Dordt College visit for Spanish speakers on April 22, 2019! You will learn more about our Christian community by touring campus, discussing scholarship opportunities, eating a free meal on campus, and meeting with professors, directors, and coaches. Translation services will be available. The event will begin at 9 am and will conclude around 12:30 pm. Register today at www.dordt.edu/visit. (For 11th or 12th graders)

Do you know what the Industrial Instrumentation Control program is all about? https://nwicc.edu/academics/programs-of-study/industrial-instrumentation-control/ Students from Sioux Center have the opportunity to go to Interstates for ? days to take college coursework in this field. There are tremendous job opportunities available in this Career field. Want to know if it is a good fit for you?
Students interested in learning more about the program in connection with NCC and Interstates should let Mrs. O know. There is an open house on Thursday afternoon, April 11 and we will be taking students over to learn more about it.

The Spotlight, our new high school student publication, is currently accepting submissions of artwork, writing, music videos or any other creative products for our school wide publication. Submissions should be turned in or shared through Google Drive to Mrs. Bahrke along with a submission form. Submissions are due by April 17th.

SC Middle School Historical Fiction/Adventure Fiction Reading Challenge April 8 ? May 22! For each Historical Fiction or Adventure Fiction book you read, you will get one entry into a drawing for a free movie ticket. 30 movie tickets will be given away!
The process:
1. Read a Historical Fiction OR Adventure Fiction book
2. Pass the AR quiz at 80% or higher
3. Fill out an entry form in the Learning Center
